Xavier Linn has several years of experience in data analysis and engineering. Xavier currently works at Citrine Informatics as a Data Analysis Engineer - Level II, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this, Xavier worked at Citrine Informatics from January 2019 to May 2020, initially as a Data Analysis Engineer - Level II and later as a Data Analysis Engineer - Level I. During this time, they were responsible for building and maintaining ETL data-pipelines, developing software for manipulating and featurizing materials datasets, and collaborating with a cross-functional team to accelerate the discovery of new materials. Xavier's earlier experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Don Tilley Group at the University of California, Berkeley from February 2016 to August 2017, where they researched the reactivity of first-row metals towards carbon-hydrogen bonds and surveyed relevant academic literature. Xavier also worked at Santa Rosa Junior College as a Student Lab Assistant from April 2013 to July 2015, where they prepared laboratory experiments and scaled them to serve hundreds of students, and as a College Skills Math Tutor from June 2012 to August 2014, where they tutored students in basic math and helped them overcome anxiety in learning basic math concepts.
Xavier Linn began their education journey in 2012 at Santa Rosa Junior College, where they pursued a degree in Chemistry. They later transferred to the University of California, Berkeley in 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2018. Xavier furthered their education at the University of California, Berkeley from 2021 to 2023, pursuing a Master of Molecular Science and Software Engineering degree with a specialization in Computational Science.
