Laura Herold has over 27 years of work experience in the field of medical editing and writing. Laura worked as a Senior Medical Writer/Scientific Content Reviewer at The Curry Rockefeller Group, LLC, where they were responsible for publication content development, writing, editing, research, and quality control for pharmaceutical clients. Prior to that, they held the position of Medical Writer/Senior Medical Editor at the same company, where they worked on projects such as manuscripts, abstracts, conference posters, slide presentations and kits, training primers, gap analysis documents, publications plans, and new business proposals.

Before joining The Curry Rockefeller Group, LLC, Laura worked as a Senior Medical Editor at Chameleon Communications International, where they focused on oncology topics. Laura'sresponsibilities included guiding projects from inception to final deliverable, organizing and scheduling the editorial work for the team, and editing various materials such as journal articles, monographs, congress abstracts and posters, and meeting handouts and slides. Laura also has experience as an Editor at AlphaMedica and The Wright Resource.

In addition to their editing roles, Laura has experience as a Publications Manager at Discovery East, where they managed the development of meeting materials for roundtables and conferences. Laura also worked as a Managing Editor/Senior Editor at International Meetings & Science, where they managed the development of journal supplements and meeting materials, coordinated freelance writers, artists, and reviewers, and ensured document formatting accuracy and consistency.

Early in their career, Laura worked as a Senior Editor for The Journal of Family Practice at Dowden Health Media, where they were responsible for monthly issue development and coordination with various departments involved in the editorial process. Laura also worked as a Project Editor/Acting Managing Editor at Faulkner & Gray, managing the development of medical-niche books.

Laura's work experience also includes the role of Managing Editor of single-sponsored journals at KSF Group/Merck-Medco.

Laura Herold has a diverse education history. In 1987, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in News-Editorial Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Magazine Journalism at Syracuse University from 1991 to 1992. In 2022, Laura obtained a Certificate with Honors in Writing in the Sciences from Stanford University. Additionally, in the same year, they also received a Certificate in Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials from The Johns Hopkins University.
