Amanda McDaniel

Community Outreach Specialist at City and County of Broomfield

Amanda McDaniel has a diverse work experience spanning several fields. Amanda most recently worked at the City and County of Broomfield as a Community Outreach Specialist and a Permanency Caseworker, where they managed various Dependency and Neglect cases and ensured the safety and well-being of children and families. Prior to that, they worked at Adams County Government as an Assessment-Response Caseworker. Amanda also has experience as a Medical Assistant at NorthStar Transitions, a Counselor at Turning Point Center for Youth & Family Development, and a Research Assistant at the Connor Lab at Colorado State University. Additionally, they worked as a Sales Associate and later as a Shift Leader at Cold Stone Creamery, where they gained skills in customer service and ice cream cake decoration. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Youth Worker at Jefferson County, where they were involved in the construction and management of hiking trails. Overall, Amanda has a strong background in casework, counseling, research, and customer service.

Amanda McDaniel completed their high school education at Arvada West Senior High School from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a High School Diploma with a focus in General studies. Following this, they attended Colorado State University from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology. In addition to their formal education, Amanda McDaniel has also obtained certifications as a Certified Addiction Technician from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in September 2021, and as a Certified Social Caseworker from the Colorado Office of Children, Youth and Families in May 2020.
