Ian McIntyre has a diverse work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data analysis. Ian began their career as a Product Development Associate at CompassCom, where they trained users on software integration and installed automated vehicle location systems. From 2013 to 2018, Ian worked as a Mobility Analyst at Colorado DOT, where they developed a statewide land use data set and created a conflation process using Python for data transfer between transportation networks. In 2018, they joined the City of Centennial as a Senior GIS Analyst, where they led data management and inventory projects, mentored power users on integrating SciPy within PowerBI analyses, and developed open-source GIS stacks. Currently, Ian is working as a Geographic Information System Developer at the City and County of Broomfield, utilizing their expertise in GIS development and administration.

Ian McIntyre has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Michigan State University. Additionally, they hold a Masters in Urban Planning with a focus on Land Use, Transportation, and GIS from the University of Colorado Denver.
