Jonathan Johnson

Jonathan Johnson is an experienced urban planner currently serving as the Safe Routes to School Program Lead and Associate City Planner for the City and County of Denver since March 2017. In this role, responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders to enhance safety and multimodal options around schools, collaborating on infrastructure projects, and implementing the Safe Routes to School Action Plan. Previous positions include Staff City Planner focusing on placemaking and Vision Zero initiatives, as well as an intern/research analyst with Denver Public Works, contributing to transportation and sustainability projects. Jonathan also has a background in retail, having held roles at University Bicycles Ltd and City Bikes, and possesses advanced degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Geography from the University of Colorado Denver.
