Nina Waysdorf

Nina Waysdorf currently serves as the Waste Diversion & Recycling Manager for the City and County of Denver, a position held since December 2022. Previously, Nina worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at Colorado Mountain College, instructing courses on sustainability, and as the Sustainability Programs Manager at Walking Mountains Science Center, overseeing waste reduction initiatives and co-chairing the Materials Management Task Force of the Climate Action Collaborative. Earlier roles included positions such as a Zero Waste to Landfill Graduate Researcher for Vail Resorts, a Cheesemonger at The Truffle Cheese Shop focusing on sustainability initiatives, and event consultancy for ICLEI USA. A diverse background includes educational experiences and various roles in nonprofit and retail sectors. Nina holds a Master of Arts in Masters of the Environment, Sustainable Food Systems from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs, Sociocultural Anthropology, and Journalism & Mass Communications from The George Washington University.
