Simon Vakili

Simon Vakili, CPA, currently serves as the Lead Auditor at the City and County of Denver since October 2023. Prior to this role, Simon worked as an Assurance Supervisor at RSM US LLP from September 2021 to October 2023, where responsibilities included auditing large public filers in the banking sector and evaluating internal controls. Simon's experience also includes serving as an Assurance Senior at LSL (Lance, Soll & Lunghard, LLP), where audit engagements for private companies and non-profit entities were conducted. Earlier career positions include internships and analyst roles, where Simon provided financial analysis, governance support, and accounting services. Simon holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Science from UC Irvine.
