Asim Khan

Asim Khan is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in economic analysis and forecasting. Currently serving as a Senior Economist for the City and County of San Francisco since April 2013, Asim is responsible for writing economic impact reports and monitoring key economic variables to forecast the city's revenue streams. Previous roles include Economic Consultant at North Dale Development, where expert economic testimony was provided, and Economist positions at NCCI Holdings, Polk County, and Moody’s Economy.com, focusing on macroeconomic data and regional forecasts. Asim began professional career as a Research Economist at the University of Arizona, contributing significantly to technology transfer studies. Academically, Asim holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas A&M University, alongside two Master's degrees in Economics from Western Michigan University and the University of the Punjab.
