Brian Stokle is an experienced urban planner currently serving as Planner III in the Recreation and Park Department of the City and County of San Francisco since October 2015, where Brian focuses on large interagency projects requiring creativity and collaboration. Stokle is also the Founder and Designer of the San Francisco Fog & Gold Flag, intended to unify the community. As a Transportation Planner and Founding Member of Connect OAKLAND, Stokle successfully advocated for significant transportation infrastructure changes. Additional roles include Founder and Editor of Urban Life Signs and freelance Policy Advisor and Cartographer for SPUR, where Stokle co-authored crucial transportation planning documents. Stokle's career also includes positions as Parking Analyst at Park Circa, Inc., Associate Transportation Planner at Nelson\Nygaard, and internships at the New York City Department of Transportation and City CarShare. Stokle holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and History from the University of California, Davis.
