Dan Kaplan

Dan Kaplan is an experienced professional in strategy, project management, and analysis, currently serving as the Manager of Strategy, Project Management, and Analysis for the HR Modernization Program at the City and County of San Francisco since July 2022. Kaplan previously held the position of Senior Performance Analyst in San Francisco’s Office of the Controller, where efforts concentrated on improving government service efficiency. Kaplan has also contributed to the city's COVID-19 response as Schools Hub Co-Lead, managing critical components of the school reopening process. Prior experience includes roles at S&P Global Ratings, the California Legislative Analyst's Office, and the U.S. Department of Labor, among others. Kaplan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
