Lavena Holmes

Lavena Holmes, SHRM-SCP, IPMA-SCP, CLRM, currently serves as the Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer for the Civil Service Commission in the City and County of San Francisco, overseeing merit system operations, staff management, and budget implementation. With extensive experience in human resources, previously held the position of Human Resources Director at the Port of San Francisco, managing comprehensive HR functions for approximately 300 employees. Additional leadership roles include Chapter President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Labor Relations Manager at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. Lavena Holmes holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Golden Gate University and Bachelor's degrees from Mount Saint Mary College and Our Lady of the Lake University.
