Shawn Sherburne

Shawn Sherburne, MS, PHR is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Employment Services for the City and County of San Francisco since June 2012. In this role, Shawn directs the Client Services Consulting and Operations teams, overseeing over 40 staff members and managing HR services for more than 34,000 employees across over 55 city departments. Prior positions include Human Resources Consulting Services Manager at the Department of Human Resources, Manager of Classified Operations at the San Francisco Unified School District, and various HR analyst roles at San Francisco General Hospital and Dublin San Ramon Services District. Shawn holds a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis.
