Sue Pearring

Sue Pearring currently serves as the Quality Manager at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the City and County of San Francisco, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Sue worked as a Forensic Toxicologist Supervisor at the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner from November 2017 to November 2022, and as a Criminalist III at the Santa Clara County Crime Laboratory from June 2016 to October 2017. Sue's experience also includes serving as a Senior Criminalist at the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner from November 2011 to April 2016, where responsibilities included performing and training others in toxicological analyses and processing death scenes. Sue began the professional journey as an Educator at Bruin Math Tutoring from October 2009 to November 2011. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from UCLA and a Master's degree in Forensic Drug Chemistry from the University of Florida.
