Vincent Mai

Vincent Mai currently serves as a District Code Enforcement Investigator for the City and County of San Francisco, focusing on Healthy Housing & Vector Control since February 2024. Previously, Vincent held the position of Scientist I at Myriad Genetics, where responsibilities included utilizing lab automation for enzyme formulations and monitoring quality control metrics. Experience as a Teaching Associate at San Francisco State University involved creating learning materials and supporting students in biology labs. Vincent contributed to research in the Swei Lab, concentrating on the ecology and pathogenesis of tick-borne diseases, while also working as a Clinical Laboratory Associate at Predicine, performing RT-qPCR tests. Additional experiences include project management at WISErg Corporation, research assistance at Seattle University, and an internship focused on natural resource stewardship with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Seattle University, a Master of Science in Integrative Biology from San Francisco State University, and studies at the University of Copenhagen.
