Erin O'Shaughnessey

Erin O'Shaughnessey is an experienced educator and researcher with a strong background in biology and aquatic ecosystems. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Malcolm X College and a Teacher at Chicago Public Schools since 2019, Erin previously worked as a Biology Instructor and Graduate Research Assistant at Loyola University Chicago. Erin's research experience includes intensive field studies on crayfish and other aquatic organisms in Lake Michigan, water quality monitoring in coastal wetlands, and various marine ecology projects during an internship with Oceans Research. Erin holds a Master of Teaching from Dominican University, a Master of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University.
