Dave Palmer

Dave Palmer is an experienced commercial leader in the construction industry, currently serving as the Commercial Director at City Gate Construction Ltd since October 2017, where responsibilities include driving sustainable growth and aligning business processes with future ambitions. Previously, as Commercial Manager at Morris and Spottiswood from July 2002 to October 2017, oversight included financial reporting and control of a £60 million division, alongside surveying and estimating for large contracts. Dave also held roles as a Quantity Surveyor and a Youth Worker at North Lanarkshire Council earlier in their career. Educationally, Dave holds an Msci in Physics and Mathematical Finance from the University of Strathclyde, supplemented by strong foundational qualifications from Airdrie Academy, including 5 Highers and 2 Advanced Highers.
