Ben Greenhalgh

Ben Greenhalgh is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at The Pirbright Institute since April 2024, with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and education. As a Mechanical Engineering Exam Author for City & Guilds since March 2022, Ben focuses on creating assessments for Levels 5-6. Previous roles include Management and Business Assessor at Barnardo's, where Ben served as a Training Supervisor and IQA from June 2017 to April 2024, and Mechanical Engineering Consultant at Oasthouse Ventures Limited, where a business viability report for a biomass boiler system was produced. Additional experience includes managing vocational courses for hard-to-reach youth at Inclusion Hampshire and serving as a Senior Instructor at Go Ape. Ben holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and multiple degrees in Philosophy, Creative Writing, Linguistics, and English Language from The Open University and the University of Gloucestershire.
