Karen Howells

Karen Howells has extensive experience in dental education and training, holding the position of Sector Lead for Care and Dental Science at Wirral Metropolitan College since February 2004. In this role, responsibilities include acting as a Dental Nurse Tutor and Internal Quality Assurer, supporting dental trainees in completing their qualifications and exams. Additionally, Karen has served as an Independent End Point Assessor for City & Guilds since June 2018 and previously held various roles at Alder Training Ltd from January 2008 to October 2010, including Training Manager and Internal Verifier. Earlier career experiences include working as a Chiropodist and Beauty Therapist in a mobile business and serving as a Qualified Dental Surgery Assistant and Oral Health Educator at Garth Celyn Dental Practice and J Tappin. Karen holds a Certificate in Education from Wirral Metropolitan College and has foundational qualifications in science and arts from Tregyb Comprehensive School.
