Ryan Vanmeter

Ryan VanMeter is an experienced fundraising professional with a robust history in major gifts and development. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Individual & Major Giving at City Harvest since June 2016, Ryan has advanced through various roles, including Director of Major Gifts and Major Gifts Officer. Prior experience includes leadership positions as Director of Development at Center on Halsted, where commitment to the LGBTQ community was prioritized, and similar roles at Test Positive Aware Network. Additionally, Ryan has experience in political and nonprofit sectors, having worked as Political Director for Friends of Robin Kelly and served as Board Chairman for Lake View YMCA. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and German from the University of Kansas.
