Vivian Nieves

Director, Program Operations at City Harvest

Vivian Nieves has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Vivian started their career at McKinsey & Company, where they held the roles of Administrative Assistant and later Administrative Coordinator/Graphics Specialist for a period of 20 years.

In 2011, they joined Syska Hennessy Group as a Project Assistant/Coordinator for a year.

Vivian then transitioned to City Harvest in 2012, where they took on various roles in the Agency Relations department. Vivian started as a Coordinator and was later promoted to Manager, then Senior Manager, and eventually Associate Director. In their most recent role as Director of Program Operations, they oversee the operations of the organization's programs.

Prior to their time at City Harvest, Vivian also worked at YAI Network as a Direct Service Professional for seven years.

Vivian Nieves has a diverse education history. In 1989, they earned a diploma in Executive Secretarial with Accounting Applications from The Wood Tobe Coburn School. From 2005 to 2011, Nieves attended LaGuardia Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Human Services Mental Health. In 2014, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Community and Human Services at SUNY Empire State College, completing their studies in 2016. Most recently, in 2019, Nieves engaged in an Executive Education program called the Developing Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals at Columbia Business School.
