Saravana Suthanthira, AICP, currently serves as Principal - Consultant at SS Consultants, LLC, since August 2023, focusing on multimodal transportation planning, policy, and project management. As a Transportation Commissioner for the City of Alameda since July 2022 and former Transportation Program Manager for the City of Concord, Suthanthira has facilitated regional advocacy for urban transportation needs and overseen multijurisdictional studies and planning grants. Previously, Suthanthira held the position of Principal Transportation Planner at the Alameda County Transportation Commission from 2003 until 2020, managing diverse planning initiatives and legislative implementations.
