Mohammad Momin is a seasoned urban designer with extensive experience in the field since 1998. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at Mithun since January 2013, Mohammad has been involved in notable projects recognized with awards such as the APA California Award of Excellence for the Open Window Project. In addition, Mohammad has held a position as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the City of Albany, California, since January 2021. Earlier academic achievements include a Master's in Urban Design from the University of California, Berkeley, where the graduate thesis focused on public housing in Lower East-side Manhattan, earning the Grand Prize at the 2013 CNU Charter Awards. Prior to their current roles, significant contributions were made at P K Das & Associates in Mumbai, particularly in a major slum rehabilitation project, and earlier internship experience was gained at Effective Architectural Services in Goa, India. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Shivaji University in India.
