David B. Galin

David B. Galin currently serves as Chief of Staff to Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, where responsibilities include collaborating with city department leaders to implement major initiatives and acting as a liaison to various stakeholders. Galin's career includes roles as Deputy Chief of Staff and Policy Analyst for the same mayoral office, as well as board member for Downtown Albany BID. Previous experience encompasses positions with Greene County Planning Dept, HUNTER, TOWN OF, and United Way of the Greater Capital Region. Legal experience includes working as a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York and legal intern roles at Albany Law School and the Office of the Attorney General of New York. Galin holds a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University at Albany.
