Owen Squires is an experienced IT professional with over three decades in the field. Since May 2010, Owen has served as the Director of Information Systems for the City of Albemarle. Prior to this role, Owen held the position of Director of IT at Stanly County Schools from August 1997 to May 2010. Earlier experience includes serving as Project Manager at The Memory Bank from May 1993 to August 1997, LAN Manager at Catawba College from August 1989 to May 1993, and PC/Network Tech at The Memory Bank from October 1987 to August 1989. Owen holds a BA in Management Information Systems and History from Catawba College, where studies were conducted from 1987 to 1990, and previously attended Davidson Community College from 1985 to 1987.
