Carla Nieto

Carla Nieto is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive experience in financial management and accounting roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Accounting Manager at the City of Albuquerque since December 2022, Carla previously held positions including Senior Principal Accountant. Carla's background also includes significant experience at Bernalillo County as a Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Accountant, as well as a Staff Accountant role at Kubiak Melton & Associates, LLC. Notably, Carla served as Finance/Grant Administrator at the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center and as Finance Manager at the Center of Southwest Culture, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering healthy indigenous and Latino communities. Carla holds a Master's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, both obtained from The University of New Mexico.
