Melody Cookson, PMP, is currently the Cultural Arts Commissioner at the City of Alpharetta, where Melody sets the direction of cultural arts initiatives and establishes guidelines for artistic efforts in the community. Prior to this role, Melody was the Director of Member Services & Events at the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce, overseeing member benefits, services, and events. Melody also has experience as the Managing Director at ACT1 Community Theater and as a Realtor at Harry Norman, Realtors. With a background in communications and journalism, Melody has held various leadership positions in organizations such as the Atlanta Junior Rowing Association, Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, and Crabapple Crossing Elementary PTA.
