Sergio M. Ramirez

Sergio M. Ramirez is an accomplished economic development professional with extensive experience in municipal planning and development. Currently serving as the Economic Development Director for the City of Anaheim since August 2021, Sergio previously held the position of Deputy Director of Economic & Property Development for the City of Long Beach from December 2016 to August 2021. Sergio's earlier roles include Senior Project Manager for the City of Anaheim's Community & Economic Development division from December 2004 to December 2016, and Community and Economic Development Planner for the City of Paramount from February 2002 to December 2004. Additionally, Sergio worked as a Community Development Consultant at Willdan, providing services to various municipalities in Southern California. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Master's degree in Public Administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
