Tamie Tatum has a diverse work experience, starting in 2007 as an Office Manager for Madison County Indiana Government. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Partnership Specialist for the US Department of Commerce, US Census Bureau. In 2011, Tamie held the role of Director of Marketing- Midwest Region at Durant Mgmt Corporation. Tamie then joined the City of Anderson and served as the Juvenile Treatment Court Case Manager and later became the Director of Human Relations. In 2012, they worked as a Co-Host and Radio Personality for WHBU 1240 am - Vision for Success/Jesse Wilkerson. Currently, they are an Independent Associate for LegalShield, specializing in legal and identity theft protection plans.

Tamie Tatum, BA, MPA, MLS, has an extensive education history. Tamie attended Anderson High School, where they earned their diploma with a focus on college preparation. Following high school, they enrolled at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 1991 to 1993, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications. Later on, Tamie continued their education at Indiana Wesleyan University from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a specialization in Political Science and Government. Most recently, from 2018 to 2019, they attended Trinity International School, where they completed a Masters in Legal Studies, focusing on Legal Studies in general.
