Daniel Schellhase

Daniel Schellhase is an experienced fire service professional with extensive leadership roles at the City of Ankeny since November 2005, including Deputy Fire Chief, Interim Fire Chief, and Division Chief, along with prior positions as a Firefighter/Engineer/Lieutenant. Previously, Daniel served as a Firefighter/Paramedic/Hazmat Technician for the City of Des Moines and as a Staff Sergeant in the Iowa Air National Guard. Daniel's educational background includes a Master of Organizational Leadership in Executive Fire/EMS Leadership from Waldorf University, the Chief Fire Officer Designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence, and completion of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy, among other qualifications in fire science.
