Jessica Barlow Waddill

Jessica Barlow Waddill is a seasoned communications professional with substantial experience in marketing and public relations. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist for the City of Ankeny since January 2016, Waddill previously held the position of Senior Communications & Marketing Manager at the Greater Des Moines Partnership. There, responsibilities included managing marketing strategies and social media for multiple platforms, along with overseeing a team of marketing assistants and interns. Waddill has also worked as Senior Marketing Manager for the Downtown Community Alliance, where strategic planning and website management were key duties. Earlier roles at Meredith involved project management and public relations for agricultural brands, as well as digital asset management and print production. Waddill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Loras College.
