Prior experience includes a significant role as division manager for recycling and environmental services at the City of Houston, where Mason managed various recycling initiatives and legislative relations. Mason's career began in the Houston Mayor's Office, contributing to key environmental projects under Mayor Bill White. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Environmental Analysis and Decision Making from Rice University, a Certified Public Manager designation from Sam Houston State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Clemson University.
