Zach Michels

Zach Michels, AICP, currently serves as an Associate Planner for the Charter Township of Canton since February 2023. With extensive experience in planning and zoning, Zach has held positions such as Planning Director for Steuben County and Director of Planning and Zoning for Dexter Township. Additionally, Zach has practical experience in ice facility operations as a Zamboni Operator for various organizations, including the City of Ann Arbor and Ann Arbor Ice Cube. In parallel, Zach has officiated as a referee for USA Hockey since September 2019 and contributed to business operations for theStylishFox.com. Zach earned a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan.
