Jean Sanchez is an experienced urban planner with a strong background in municipal land use and resource management. Currently, as a Senior Planner at the City of Apopka since October 2017, Jean has focused on drafting legislation, planning public construction, and advising on zoning regulations while addressing environmental considerations. Previous roles include Planner at the City of Leesburg and Planner I at the City of Kissimmee, where responsibilities similarly encompassed land use planning and community redevelopment. Prior to planning roles, Jean served as a Constituent Caseworker for U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, demonstrating effective communication and community engagement skills. Education includes a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Central Florida.
