Corey Popp

Corey Popp has extensive work experience in the IT field. Corey is currently serving as the Information Technology Director at the City of Appleton, Wisconsin since November 2021. Prior to this, Corey worked at Bergstrom Automotive as the Director of IT for over two decades, from June 2000 to November 2021. At Bergstrom Automotive, they focused on delivering outstanding guest service through negotiation-free online and in-person retail services. Before that, Corey worked at Affinity Health System, now Ascension Wisconsin, from 1992 to 2000, holding various positions such as Project Manager, Network Analyst, and PC Analyst. Corey started their career at CyCare Systems Inc. in 1990 as a Computer Operator and Mainframe Programmer. CyCare Systems provided turnkey information processing services and systems to the healthcare industry.

Corey Popp's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Lakeland University, which they pursued from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems-Computer Programming from Fox Valley Technical College, where they studied from 1988 to 1990.

In addition to their degrees, Corey also holds several certifications. In June 2018, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Furthermore, in September 2007, they became a Certified Instructor for the Wisconsin Technical College System, an achievement granted by the Wisconsin Technical College System.
