Alex Stillman

Alex Stillman is an experienced community leader and entrepreneur, currently serving as a Council Member for the City of Arcata since July 2022 and previously from December 2006 to April 2011. As the Owner of Stillman Rentals since March 1972, Alex has effectively managed numerous restoration projects, contributing to the creation of residential and commercial units. Alex co-founded the Historical Sites Society of Arcata, advocating for historic preservation, and chairs the Godwit Days Migratory Bird Festival and the Fire Arts Center Ceramic & Glass. Additionally, Alex holds a Board Member position with the American Association of University Women, San Jose Branch, and has a solid educational background, including a Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics from Humboldt State University.
