Jacob Browning, AICP, is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as the Strategic Initiatives Manager and Historic Preservation Officer for the City of Arlington since May 2023. Previously, Jacob held the position of Director of Urban Planning at Downtown Dallas, Inc., where contributions included co-authoring The 360 Plan and managing public realm improvement projects. Jacob's earlier roles included Community Engagement Liaison and Planner for the City of Fort Worth, as well as Senior Planner for the City of Austin, showcasing a strong background in community engagement, regulatory processes, and strategic planning. Academic credentials include a Master of Urban Planning from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in International Economics from Texas Christian University.
