Douglas Jefferson

Douglas Jefferson has extensive experience in airport operations and emergency management, currently serving as the Airport Duty Operations Chief (ADOC) for the City of Atlanta's Aviation Department since 2009. Jefferson's role involves 24-hour operational oversight and maintaining situational awareness of all airport operations. Previous positions include Emergency Management Program Manager and Landside Operations Supervisor within the Aviation Department, where responsibilities included managing emergency incidents and conducting incident investigations. Jefferson also gained valuable experience as a Security Management Intern at SecurAmerica, a Platoon Leader in the Georgia State Defense Force, and a Cargo Operations Officer with Air France - KLM Cargo and Martinair Cargo. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Security Management from American Military University and a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Policy Studies from Georgia State University.
