Kamau Makini

Kamau Makini currently serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the City of Atlanta, a position held since August 2022. Prior experience spans over a decade at the City of Baltimore, where roles included Policy and Compliance Manager, Senior Compliance Officer, Policy Analyst, and HR Specialist. Earlier experience was gained as a Human Resources Generalist at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from August 2008 to February 2012. Kamau holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of Baltimore (2014-2017) and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Frostburg State University (2004-2008).
