Mary Norwood

Mary Norwood is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and business management. Currently serving as a candidate for District 8 in the City of Atlanta since February 2021, Mary has held various roles within the City Council, including City Council Member from 2014 to 2018 and Citywide City Councilmember from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, Mary is the Owner and President of Norwood Communications, LLC, a broadcast voice service established in 1992. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Vice President at Rounsaville Radio, overseeing operations for seven radio stations from 1974 to 1991. Mary holds a B.A. in History from Emory University and attended Sweet Briar College.
