Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson has extensive work experience in information technology and leadership roles. Jeff has served as a Deputy CIO at the City of Aurora since 2019. Prior to that, they were the Director of Information Technology at the City of Naperville from 2016 to 2019, where they developed policies and strategies to support the city's technological needs. Jeff also worked as a Business Development Manager at Magenium, where they helped clients utilize technology effectively to increase revenue and reduce costs. Jeff has held various director-level positions at Project Leadership Associates, West Monroe Partners, and PSAV, where they oversaw IT operations, implemented new technologies, and negotiated contracts. Jeff also founded and served as the CIO of NewMgmt, LLC and RJE Group, Inc., where they focused on email marketing and owned an online savings website. Jeff's early career includes roles at Fujitsu Consulting, where they directed internal application operations, and Greenbrier & Russel, Inc., where they held positions as a partner, IT director, and senior database administrator. Throughout their career, Jeff Anderson has demonstrated their expertise in technology leadership, strategic planning, and business development, effectively driving innovation and achieving tangible results.

Jeff Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University, where they attended from 1982 to 1986. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include "Recovering from Cybersecurity Incidents" from FEMA in February 2023, "Emergency Operations Center Operations and Planning for All-Hazards Events" from FEMA in December 2022, "Next Generation Leader, Cohort 2-2022" from the InspireCIO Leadership Network in September 2022, and "Foundations of City Innovation: Strategy, Leadership & Innov" from the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in January 2020.
