Leela Karumuri

Leela Karumuri CRISC has extensive experience in the field of IT risk management and compliance. Leela began their career at State Bank of India in 1998, where they served as a Manager in Retail Banking for eight years. In 2006, they joined TD as a Manager in IT Risk and Anti Money Laundering, a role they held until 2010. Leela then moved to Canadian Western Bank, where they worked as an IT Auditor from 2010 to 2017. Most recently, they joined the City of Aurora in 2019, first as a Manager in IT Risk and Compliance and currently as the Director of Cyber and Technology Risk. In their current role, Leela is responsible for developing and leveraging IT risk management frameworks and overseeing a managed security services provider.

Leela Karumuri CRISC completed a Bachelor of Science (B Sc) degree in Mathematics from Acharya Nagarjuna University, which they attended from 1983 to 1987. Leela also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from CMC India. In addition to their formal education, Leela holds certifications including the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) from ISACA and the Next Generation Leader, Cohort #-2022 from Inspire CIO Leadership Network.
