Matt Hopp

Matt Hopp is an experienced engineering technician currently serving as Engineering Technician III for the City of Aurora since April 2022. Previously, Matt held the position of Senior Engineering Technician and Survey Crew Chief at Fehr Graham Engineering & Environmental from June 2019 to March 2022, following the acquisition of Deuchler Engineering. Additional roles include Management Analyst for the Air National Guard from May 2018 to May 2021, and Engineering Technician at Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. from May 2013 to May 2019. Earlier experience includes law enforcement roles as a Police Officer and Parking Enforcement Officer at the City of Aurora and various engineering technician positions. Matt's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Northern Illinois University and graduate coursework in Geographic Information Science from Northwest Missouri State University, along with training from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy at the College of DuPage.
