Albert Castro

Albert Castro is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in financial management and consulting. Currently serving as a Financial Manager for the City of Austin since March 2021, Albert previously held the role of Senior Business Consultant/Financial Advisor at International Development Services, Inc. where responsibilities included advising clients on finance management challenges and minimizing financial risks. Between 2010 and 2019, Albert worked as Controller/Accounting Director at CD&P, where an accounting department was established, and as Client Services Manager, managing community engagement projects in Texas. Additionally, Albert was a Managing Partner at Santa Rita Tex-Mex Cantina from 2006 to 2015. Educational credentials include an M.B.A. from Texas McCombs School of Business and Bachelor's degrees in Economics & Government and Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin and Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, respectively.
