Paul Kovacs

Paul Kovacs is an experienced professional in operations, administration, and event management, currently serving as the Operations Administrative & Technical Support Specialist for the City of Barrie since July 2021. This role involves overseeing administrative processes for the Parks Department and assisting with the Roads and Fleet department. Previously, Paul held positions such as Recreation Administrator at the City of Barrie, where responsibilities included managing COVID safety measures during recreation center reopenings, and Events & Marketing Coordinator for the Town of Wasaga Beach, leading third-party events. With a background in project management and administrative support across various companies, including Checkfront and the BC Public Service, Paul also has experience in coaching and instructing basketball at the Eli Pasquale Basketball Academy. Paul holds an Honours Bachelor in Sport and Physical Education from Laurentian University and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University.
