Agnes Andrews is a seasoned community leader and professional with extensive involvement in various organizations and initiatives. Since May 2022, Agnes has served as a committee member for the Brighten Up Campaign 2022, appointed by Mayor Broom. Membership in Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. began in January 2007, focusing on youth, women's status, and community services. As a member of the Advisory Board for the College of Business at Southern University and A&M College since September 2002, Agnes contributes to enhancing business education. Agnes has held membership in the National Association of Real Estate Brokers since April 1987, where a commitment to increasing home ownership among Black households is emphasized. Additional affiliations include Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and a lifetime membership with the NAACP, which all underline a commitment to social justice and community service. Agnes is also the CEO of a self-employed Allstate insurance agency and holds a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Education: Home Economist from Southern University, earned between 1970 and 1973.
