Matt Cannady currently serves as a Business Analyst/GIS Manager and Cityworks/GIS Administrator for the City of Battle Creek, Michigan, since July 2021. Prior experience includes over 11 years at Pioneer Natural Resources Company, where Matt held various positions including Senior Staff Petroleum Analyst and Senior Geoscience Analyst, focusing on business development, GIS technology, and technical support. Matt's expertise includes automating analyses for M&A targets, mentoring staff, and managing spatial databases. Educational achievements include a Master’s degree and a Master’s certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of Denver, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
