Chief Laboratory Technician, Wastewater at City of Baytown, TX

Grace Wright has over 20 years of experience in water and waste water treatment operations. Grace has worked as a Chief Laboratory Technician for the City of Baytown since 2012, overseeing water and waste water operations. Prior to that, they worked as a Supervisor for SEII, the offshore hiring entity for KBR, from 2009 to 2011. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as a Water/Waste Water Treatment professional for SEII contractor for KBR, including roles as a Water Foreman, Water Lab Lead, and Waste Water Supervisor in Iraq. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator for the City of Baytown, where they were responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of a treatment plant. Grace'searlier experience includes working as an Effluent Operator for Abitibi Paper, now known as Champion Paper, where they conducted process testing, trained fellow operators, and implemented safety procedures.

Grace Wright received vocational training in Water & Wastewater Treatment and Utilities Safety from the Texas Engineering Extension Service, also known as TEEX, from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their education, they obtained certification from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in July 2022.
