Kevin McGee is a Multimedia Specialist at the City of Beaumont since November 2021, responsible for scriptwriting, filming, editing, and distributing video interviews. Concurrently, Kevin serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Communication & Media and as the Video Coordinator in the Office of Marketing Communications at Lamar University, where various media projects are developed to promote the university. Additionally, Kevin contributes to LUTV News as a Production Coordinator, Director, On-Air Talent, and Reporter, creating content for a weekly newscast. As the owner of Kev's Productions since June 2005, Kevin also produces media content independently. Previous experience includes working as a Program Videographer at Pine Cove, where video content was produced for campers. Kevin holds an MBA in Marketing and a BS in Communication, Broadcast and Film from Lamar University.

The City of Beaumont is located in Southeast Texas, approximately 85 miles east of Houston. The city's population is 118,000. Beaumont is a full-service municipality, and serves as the county seat for Jefferson County. Beaumont operates under a council-manager system of government, in which the elected, part-time council appoints a city manager, who acts as the chief executive officer for city affairs. The City Council meets every Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, located on the 1st floor of City Hall, 801 Main Street. Council member offices are located on the 3rd floor of City Hall in Suite 300. Meetings are televised on Time Warner Cable Channel 4 Wednesday through Sunday at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
