Daniel Lai

Daniel Lai has extensive work experience in the field of transportation engineering and smart mobility. Daniel began their career as a Transportation Engineering Assistant at the City of Vancouver in 2007, where they worked for three months. Following this, Daniel joined Transpo Group in 2008 and served as the ITS Technical Manager for almost a decade, until 2017. Daniel then transitioned to the City of Bellevue, Washington, where they first held the role of Senior ITS Engineer for four years before becoming the Smart Mobility Manager in December 2021.

Daniel Lai has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington, Idaho, and Hawaii.
