Jay Gu, AICP has a diverse work experience spanning roles in urban planning, urban design, architecture, and environmental stewardship. Jay is currently an Associate Planner/Urban Designer at the City of Bellevue, Washington, where they began working in January 2020. Prior to this, they worked at OpenGate Properties Inc. as an Urban Designer/Planner from 2016 to 2019. Jay also gained experience as a Junior Architectural Designer at C& Partners Architects Inc. from 2013 to 2014. In addition, Jay served as a Stewardship Program Assistant at Evergreen Brick Works in 2012.

Jay Gu, AICP pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2009 to 2013, they attended the University of Toronto - Innis College. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Following that, they pursued a Certificate in Architecture from Ryerson University from 2011 to 2013. Lastly, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Calgary.
